Knowing where to start is the first step. Get in touch and let us help take your next step on the road of recovery.
We understand that for many women, getting the all clear from breast cancer is the start – not the end – of recovery. They live with reminders of their treatment on a daily basis.
For some, it’s not being able to reach a cup from the cupboard or pull up the zip of a dress because of scar tissue; for others it’s giving up sporting activities they used to love in a body that feels different.
Sadly, it’s not unusual for women who have had breast cancer to feel that they can’t pick up and cuddle their children or grandchildren, because they’ve lost muscle strength in the area affected by treatment.
That’s why Michelle Scott-Worthington at Synergy Proactive Exercise Ltd developed In the Pink, a physical rehabilitation programme, uniquely tailored to meet survivors’ needs and to help them back on the road to wellness.
Working in small groups with trained teachers who are experienced in supporting individuals treated for breast cancer, we help women rebuild their fitness and confidence.
It can be the start of a new love of physical activities that they’ve never tried before, a return to classes at their local leisure centre, or just exercising at home more regularly.
More often, it’s just about those simple day-to-day things that they didn’t have to think about before their treatment; picking up bags, washing their hair or making a cake.
C.A.R.S. procures In the Pink enabling all those diagnosed with Breast Cancer to access the programme free of charge to help survivors live again. Because every woman has the right to feel In the Pink after treatment for breast cancer.
