22 Dec 2024
On 22nd December 2024, Cancer Active Recovery Support (C.A.R.S.) will proudly mark two incredible years of supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
This milestone reflects the tremendous growth and impact the charity has achieved since its inception. Over the past two years, C.A.R.S. has launched impactful initiatives, provided vital support, and expanded its reach to bring people together in meaningful ways. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of its community—supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and friends.
As the charity reflects on its journey, it acknowledges with gratitude the kindness, generosity, and resilience that have shaped its mission and success. Together, the charity and community can commemorate this milestone and look forward to many more years of making a positive difference.
Words from the Chair of Trustees for C.A.R.S. Lesley Milner
“C.A.R.S. began as a small, local charity just two years ago, and since then, it has grown phenomenally.
This year, alongside funding the ‘In The Pink’ programmes, C.A.R.S. has established Cancer Support Hubs in Moira, Hinckley, Loughborough, and Market Harborough.
Our collaborations with organisations such as Macmillan Cancer Support, Severn Trent Water, and Cadent Gas have been invaluable in driving this success. However, none of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of our volunteers and fundraisers, who have supported C.A.R.S. from the very beginning.
Looking ahead, 2025 promises even more exciting developments, including the opening of new hubs and the launch of our Cancer Support Directory.
The Trustees are immensely proud of C.A.R.S.’ achievements and we look forward to building on this success in the coming year.”
